FSHP Council, Committees, and Task Forces
- Volunteer your time to a FSHP Council, Committee or Task Force. These groups plan and are critical to the operation of the Society throughout the year. An official call for volunteers is conducted annually in the spring and the selection process occurs in June of each year. - The FSHP Board of Directors implement the programs the Councils, Committees, Task Force and staff develop throughout the year. Annually an official call for nominations is conducted in the spring, with the election occurring immediately following the FSHP Annual Meeting. ASHP Opportunities
Pharmacy Student Forum Executive Committee
- The Executive Committee is responsible for advising the ASHP Board of Directors and staff on the overall direction of the Forum, including member benefits and services. The Chair of the Executive Committee serves as the voting student representative to the ASHP House of Delegates. 2023-2024 Call for Nominations for Appointments to ASHP Councils, Commissions, Advisory Groups, and other Committees will be available in the fall of 2021. - The ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum has six advisory groups that provide advice and guidance to the Forum regarding the unique needs of student members and how these needs might be addressed by the provision of resources and programs by ASHP. The Chair of the Pharmacy Student Forum will appoint thirteen students to each advisory group for a June-May term. Click here for more information on how you can apply for an advisory group position!
- The Pharmacy Student Forum column features articles that address the unique needs of students throughout school and as they transition into new practitioners. Authors include students, new practitioners or others with expertise in a topic of interest to students. If you are interested in submitting an article for the Pharmacy Student Column, click here.
- Pharmacy students are encouraged to get involved in the ASHP Pharmacy Practice Sections. Membership is free and you can join as few or as many as you would like. ASHP's Sections offer you the best way to communicate and interact with colleagues who share the same interests, issues, and challenges. Once you join a Section, you can take full advantage of practice-specific news emails, issue discussion groups, online networking directories, specialized programming at national meetings, and valuable continuing education and leadership opportunities.
